Cancer Centre expands Phase I immunotherapy unit

St Edwards Private Hospital has opened an expanded Phase I unit within the Cancer Centre, adding monitored beds, an apheresis room and a dedicated cell-therapy suite.

Professor David Chen, Director of Research, said the investment allows more patients to be considered for first-in-human studies while maintaining the same governance standards required of a major UK research centre.

Patients already under the care of a St Edwards consultant may ask their specialist about trial eligibility. Referring clinicians can contact the research office for protocol summaries.
